Privacy Policy

Overview

JSONtoTOON is designed with privacy as a core architectural principle, not an afterthought. The JSON-to-TOON conversion, token counting, and all other processing run entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type, upload, or convert is ever sent to any server.

Information we do not collect

• Your JSON input data
• Your TOON output
• File names or file contents you upload
• Your IP address or location
• Your browser fingerprint
• Account information (there are no accounts)

Information stored in your browser

JSONtoTOON uses your browser's localStorage to remember your settings (delimiter preference, font size, auto-convert toggle, etc.) between sessions. This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser's developer tools or by clearing site data.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense on some pages. When advertisements are active, Google may set cookies and collect data to personalise ads and measure performance. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Google uses the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings or via the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (EEA) or other regions with data protection laws, we will request your consent before displaying personalised ads, in compliance with the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive.

Third-party services

This site is hosted on a standard web server. The web server may log standard access logs (IP address, URL requested, timestamp) as part of normal server operation. These logs are used solely for security and diagnostics and are not shared with third parties. They are rotated and deleted periodically.

We use Google Fonts to load typefaces. When your browser loads the page it connects to Google Fonts servers (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). Google's standard privacy policy applies to that connection.

Cookies

JSONtoTOON itself does not set any cookies. If Google AdSense is active on the page, Google may set advertising cookies as described above. Your browser can block or delete cookies at any time.

Children's privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
